Why Partner With Us?Every year, Blitz Home Builders selects a Habitat for Humanity affiliate to partner with for an accelerated "Blitz Build". We provide enthusiastic leadership, experience, and labor to build 2 to 5 houses from the floor decking to completion in just 7 to 9 days.
Partnering with us is a powerful catalyst for your organization. A Blitz Build is a fantastic way to spur media attention in your area, helping you cultivate local volunteers and secure new sponsorships. Best of all, our volunteers completely donate their time and cover all their own transportation, lodging, and meal costs. This means the financial value of these donations—roughly $140,000 each year—is injected directly into your local community’s economy during the build. Our Volunteer Base & Leadership
Blitz Home Builders is comprised of nearly 500 dedicated volunteers from all across the United States and Canada, with 60 to 100 volunteers participating in our annual build. Together, they collectively travel over 40,000 miles to support our partner affiliates.
We welcome volunteers of all skill levels, with absolutely no prior experience needed. Our members range in age from 16 to 77, coming from a wide variety of occupations including engineering, construction, finance, firefighting, and more. We are guided by our Planning Committee, which consists of about 20 highly experienced volunteers and industry professionals. Many of these leaders have served as Site Leads, Crew Leads, and local Habitat board members. They bring cutting-edge building techniques and meticulous organization to every project to ensure a seamless build. |
Our History of Success
Our organization’s roots began in 1995 through a corporate partnership between Honeywell International Inc. and Habitat for Humanity. Driven by a desire to continue this annual tradition, a dedicated group of volunteers formed Blitz Home Builders in 2004, kicking off with a 3-home build in Madison, WI.
We formalized as an Arizona non-profit in 2015 and officially became a registered 501(c)(3) corporation in 2016. We have built in communities stretching from Hawaii to New Jersey. See where we build.
