ADDITIONAL ANNUAL MEETING/DINNER TICKETS
Part of your registration fee pays for a single ticket to the Annual Meeting/Dinner event. If you would like to bring others who didn't register for the build you can do so below via PayPal.
Registration is now closed for the 2018 Morris NJ Blitzbuild.
As we announced earlier, the 2018 Blitz Build will be held in Morris, New Jersey. The actual build site is in Morris County New Jersey in the town of Mine Hill. The address is 58 Randall Avenue. The high temperature during the build should be around 80 with the low temperature around 60 degrees. Average precipitation in June is approximately four inches for the month with 11 days average precipitation.
The build dates are Thursday, June 7th through Friday, June 15th. The pre-build this year will be Wednesday, June 6th and all House and Crew leads are encouraged to participate in the pre-build. General volunteers start day is Thursday, June 7th.
Blitz Home Builders is happy to be working with and supporting Morris Habitat in this blitz build. We will be building three home, two ranch style single stories and one cape model which is 1 ½ stories with a unique stick constructed high pitched roof. The Leader pre-build on Wednesday, June 6 will be to stand the panel walls and second floor decking on the cape house so that we can begin roof construction on Thursday, June 7th. These houses are planned to be completed on the inside and outside prior to the dedication on Saturday June 16th.
As in past years, we will be requiring a non-refundable $85 registration feefor each participant. Everyone who registers will receive an event T-shirt and entry to the annual dinner meeting.
Registrations will be handled electronically through our website. This will be the only way to register for this build. Please go to our website at www.BlitzHomeBuilders.org, then to the Morris build page on the Blitz Home Builders website, click the Register Now button, fill out the registration form and pay the registration fee when invoiced by PayPal.
Remember, you must specifically register for the Morris build and pay the registration fee in order to guarantee lodging and have a spot at the build. If you want to register for someone else (e.g., spouse, friend, partner, etc.), you will need to go to the Blitz Home Builders website and register them separately in their name and pay the registration fee. You will be sent an invoice from PayPal for lodging.
Registration fees will be paid online using the PayPal secure transaction servers. You do not need to have a PayPal account in order to pay by credit card, but using this feature will immediately guarantee your registration and help us deal more efficiently with the registration process.
We must receive your build registration by March 27
and lodging must be paid by April 30.
Registrations are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. You are not registered until we have received your registration fees.
Past experience has shown you should plan on approximately $25-$30 per person per day for food. The Habitat affiliate will be arranging for a continental breakfast at the build site and as usual, lunches, some dinners and snacks at the construction site will be provided at no charge. We are also working with the Habitat affiliate to have other meals provided or discounted through donations from local businesses and organizations.
Updates with further details on housing, meals, travel, etc. will be posted on our website www.BlitzHomeBuilders.org when they are available – so check back often. We will also help you in sharing rides, airport pick up, trade fare information, etc.
The Habitat Affiliate does not allow persons under the age of 16 to participate in the build. Persons 16 and 17 years of age will require a parent’s/guardian’s signature on the waiver form and will be restricted in the type of tasks they are permitted to perform (e.g., no power tools, ladders, or roof access).

Planning these events takes a lot of time and effort by the Planning Committee. One of the first things we need to know is how many volunteers will be attending in order for us to arrange for lodging, meals, venues, caterers, and, yes, even the construction materials and tools. Your early registration is an important part of this effort. Please help us by completing your registration as quickly as possible.
