Come together with the families, Blitz Home Builders, volunteers, sponsors and community members to celebrate the achievement of making a place for these homeowners to call HOME! Safety: We made great strides last year in providing a safe working environment for our volunteers and we want to continue and improve upon that this year. Those individuals who want to work on the roof will need to supply their own safety gear, i.e., Roofing Bucket Kit. These are available at home improvement stores, roofing suppliers or online for $100-$150. Tools: Unlike other years, there will not be many tools furnished by Mayfield, so, I ask that you all bring whatever you think you need to build these houses. Ladders will be furnished by local residents, churches etc and there is no need for anyone to bring table saws or sawhorses. The previously dried in houses will be utilized for on site tool storage. Temporary power will be available for each house. Transportation: We encourage people to contact Barb Wicker to let her know if they have transportation needs, a ride to or from the job site, meeting site, etc., as well if anyone has extra seats and is willing to transport others so she will have a list of those needing rides and those that have seats available to help with transportation.
