Blitz Home Builders,
We would like to announce that the 2026 Blitz Build will be in Cheyenne, Wyoming. We think in June, but the dates have not been finalized yet. Cheyenne is in the south east corner of Wyoming about a 2-hour drive north of Denver. It is the capital city of Wyoming with a population of about 65,000 at an elevation of about 6000 feet. We will be building a couple two story duplex homes. The development we will be building in is called Pronghorn Crossing and will have 6 of these duplex homes when completed. Registration should be opening in December, 2025. As soon as the build dates have been firmed up, we’ll let you know. Hope to see you in Cheyenne, BHB Planning Committee

CHEYENNE – Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County has announced a partnership with Blitz Home Builders, a national nonprofit that teams up with Habitat affiliates across the country to rapidly build quality, affordable homes. In June 2026, Blitz Home Builders will bring a crew of skilled volunteers to Cheyenne to support the construction of homes at Pronghorn Crossing, Habitat’s largest and most ambitious project to date. This 12-home subdivision, located in northeast Cheyenne, represents a major investment in the future of affordable homeownership in our community, a Habitat news release said. With Blitz Home Builders' support, Habitat will be able to significantly accelerate construction and serve more families in a shorter period of time. During the 10-day build, Blitz Home Builders and local volunteers will construct four homes from the ground up. This high-energy effort will not only move the project forward quickly, but also offer a one-of-a-kind volunteer opportunity for community members to work side by side with seasoned builders and witness the power of teamwork and service. Earlier this month, Habitat of Laramie County sent three staff members and three volunteers to Flagstaff, Arizona, to take part in a similar build where Blitz Home Builders partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Northern Arizona. There, the team worked on 10 homes supporting local workforce housing; an experience that offered firsthand insight into the inspiration, skill and momentum Blitz Home Builders brings to every build. Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County will open applications for homeownership this summer. Interested individuals and families are encouraged watch for more information in the coming weeks. To qualify, applicants must have a household income between 30% and 80% of the area median income, demonstrate a need for safe and affordable housing, be willing to contribute sweat equity hours, and be able to repay an affordable mortgage. Additional details about volunteer registration, sponsorships and community participation opportunities will be released in the coming months. Sign up for emails through Habitat's website or follow it on Facebook to stay up to date. |
